A 28-year-old man from Enkhuizen had to answer to the court on Thursday, November 20, 2025, because he is suspected of multiple serious sexual offenses. These include sexual abuse (assault of a 17-year-old boy and rape of a 13-year-old boy), deceiving boys (between ten and sixteen years old) by pretending to be a pretty, young girl on social media with names like Britt or Milou and enticing the boys to perform sexual acts (sometimes with other children or animals) in front of the camera. Finally, he is also suspected of possession and production of child pornography. In total, twenty victims are named in the indictment. The criminal offenses took place between October 2015 and March 2024.
The public prosecutor demanded six years imprisonment and TBS with compulsory treatment against the suspect.

Start of the investigation
The case began when a 13-year-old victim approached the police. On December 24, 2021, he reported that since he was twelve, he had online contact with a girl named Britt. He sent her nude photos and videos of himself upon request, but when the requests escalated, he no longer liked it and called the Child Helpline. Afterwards, he also dared to tell his parents.
The police started an investigation and eventually traced an address in Enkhuizen. The investigation was handled by the police in North Holland and was later put on hold for some time because at that moment there was only one report, more serious reports took priority, and there was uncertainty about the IP address.
Eventually, the police in Rotterdam took over the case, and on March 13, 2024, they entered the suspects home. He was the son of the house and said he knew more about the case and was then designated as a suspect. Data carriers were seized, and it turned out the case was enormous. The police found 490 digital folders, each labeled with the name of a victim, containing sexual images.
The most severe cases were filtered out: material involving extensive sexual acts, material involving multiple minors, sometimes with an animal. Children possibly younger than twelve were also included. In total, 46 victims were identified. They were approached by the police, but not everyone wanted to file a report. The suspects football club and employer were informed.

Also physical abuse by suspect
During the investigation, it became clear that the suspect not only created online victims but also had physical sexual contact with a minor victim that was recorded on film. The risk of new victims was therefore assessed as higher, after which the suspect was immediately arrested.
From a list later found on the suspects phone, it appeared that the man had physical sexual contact with more minor boys. This ultimately led to prosecution for two ‘hands-on offenses’: assault of a 17-year-old boy and rape of a 13-year-old boy.

Evidence
Regarding proving the facts where the suspect deceived the victims and thus induced them to send sexually explicit images of themselves: the suspect himself admits to the facts.
The reports show that victims sent nude material of themselves to the suspect, thinking they were sending it to a girl. In this way, the suspect induced the victims to commit indecent acts by deceiving them.
Also as evidence, the images were found on the suspects devices. He admits asking the victims to send him the images and also made suggestions about what they could send. Some victims state that the suspect pressured them by threatening to make previously sent images public.

Evidence hands-on offenses
Regarding the physical abuse, the public prosecutor considers the statements of the two victims reliable. These are also supported by the found video material showing the victims, the fact that their names were on the found list, and the suspects statements also support what the victims say.

The public prosecutor explained in court that the suspect deliberately created an unequal and dependent situation. The victims thought they had arranged to meet a girl, but it turned out to be an adult man, who is 13 years older than one victim, with whom he met in a remote place in the dark, and almost five years older than the other victim, with whom he met at the victims home. Also a threatening situation because the minor victim does not know who this adult man is, but the man does know where he lives. The way the suspect operated (threatening to distribute the nude material, wearing a balaclava, and using handcuffs) created a threatening situation from which the victims could not escape. This means that according to the Public Prosecution Service, coercion was involved, and thus rape of the first victim and assault of the second victim can be proven.

Evidence possession and production of child pornography
At the suspects place, 12,960 self-produced images were found. These show boys between 10 and 17 years old performing sexual acts in front of the camera and sharing this via social media with the suspect. The suspect recorded these images with a device and saved them. This makes him guilty of producing child pornography.

The suspect also possessed child pornographic material: a total of 1,983 existing images that he had downloaded. These mainly show boys between 10 and 14 years old. Besides proving possession and production of child pornography according to the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect has also made a habit of this given the time frame and quantity.

Severity of the facts
The public prosecutor pointed out in court that the suspect has committed very serious sexual offenses over a long period.

The public prosecutor emphasized the sophisticated way the suspect operated, by pretending to be a girl on social media, he got his victims to perform sexual acts on camera and secretly recorded this. He made a large collection.
With some victims, he insisted on a real meeting, and physical abuse took place. The Public Prosecution Service condemns all this very strongly.

Impact on victims
The impact on the victims is great. They are ashamed and have difficulty trusting others. There is also concern whether their material has been distributed (which was not found in the investigation). The public prosecutor emphasized in court the consequences for the victims and that the suspect only thought about satisfying his own sexual needs. ‘Through his selfish behavior, he has left a trail of emotional destruction, not only in his immediate environment (Enkhuizen) but throughout the Netherlands. Not only among victims but also their parents.’

Sentence demand
Due to the nature, duration, and extent of the offenses, the Public Prosecution Service demands six years unconditional imprisonment, taking into account that the suspect is partially accountable due to a disorder.
In addition, the Public Prosecution Service also demands TBS with compulsory treatment. This is based on conclusions from consulted experts, given that these are serious sexual offenses, there is a high chance of recurrence, the nature of the suspects disorder, no confidence that conditions will be met, and the conviction that society must be protected from the suspect.

Finally, the Public Prosecution Service requested the destruction of the suspects devices such as computers, mobile smartphones, and hard drives because they contain child pornographic material and to grant the requested damages of a total of 19 victims, amounting to €113,851.
