A 37-year-old police officer from the municipality of Coevorden has been arrested today for breach of official secrecy and computer intrusion. The National Criminal Investigation Department is conducting an investigation.
This investigation focuses particularly on the improper use by the suspect of the police system.
The woman works for the police in Drenthe and is being interrogated. Based on the investigation by the National Criminal Investigation Department, the public prosecutor will decide whether the suspect will be prosecuted at any time.
