The death of the suspect means that the criminal investigation into her involvement in the death of her child must be concluded.
During the next hearing, currently scheduled for May 21, the public prosecutor will immediately ask the court to declare the Public Prosecution Service (OM) inadmissible in the prosecution. The law stipulates that the right to prosecution expires upon the death of the suspect. The criminal investigation thus comes to an end, and there will be no substantive ruling in which the court assesses the guilt or innocence of the suspect.
The cause of death of the woman is not related to any criminal act. For privacy reasons, the OM cannot comment on how the woman died.
