Two 15-year-old suspects were presented today to the examining magistrate on suspicion of robbing a fatbike at the Wisselspoor in Capelle aan den IJssel. They will remain in custody for another 14 days.

On Sunday, September 21, a 15-year-old boy was robbed of his fatbike by several suspects at the Wisselspoor. A firearm was pointed at his head. He was also kicked and beaten. The suspects fled the scene.

At a fast-food chain, police attempted to arrest two suspects who matched the description. One of the suspects fled, and the police warned him several times before shots were fired. The suspect, a 15-year-old boy from Gouda, was hit. Despite resuscitation and medical assistance from emergency services, he died at the scene from his injuries. The National Criminal Investigation Department investigates the incident. Investigations have shown that the boy was in possession of a functioning firearm in the form of a converted gas alarm pistol.

The other suspect involved in the robbery, a 15-year-old boy from Rotterdam, was arrested the same day. A third suspect, a 15-year-old boy from Gouda, reported to the police station in the evening. They were presented today.

The police believe that other individuals may have been involved in the robbery. Further arrests are not ruled out. If you have information about the robbery, please contact the police.
