The 15-year-old boy from Maarssen, who was arrested last Thursday, August 21, following a violence incident at a holiday park in Westerhoven, was presented today to the examining magistrate. The examining magistrate rejected the request for detention. This means he may await the investigation in freedom. He is suspected of public violence.
During the incident, a dispute arose between two groups during a paintball game, visitors from the Utrecht Maarssen and tourists from Israel. Violence was reportedly used by multiple individuals. A 37-year-old and a 41-year-old man from Israel were injured. A report of assault has been made against the 15-year-old boy.
