A 28-year-old man from Leeuwarden, suspected of killing 54-year-old Maurice van der Veen, has been detained for 14 days by the examining magistrate. He is suspected of murder or manslaughter.
The victim was found by alerted police on October 29 in his apartment in a complex on Wismastate in Leeuwarden. The program Opsporing Verzocht focused on this case on Tuesday, November 4.
