The Public Prosecution Service has extended the charges against the man suspected of Lisas murder on August 20, 2025, in Duivendrecht and of raping a woman on August 15, 2025, at the Weesperzijde in Amsterdam, to include an attempted rape of a woman on August 10, 2025, also at the Weesperzijde.

Previously, the Public Prosecution Service indicated that the attempted rape was still under investigation. Therefore, this case was not yet included in the charges during the preliminary hearing on November 25, 2025.

Meanwhile, results from forensic research conducted by the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) have been obtained. Blood from the victim of the attempted rape was found on one of the shoes, presumably belonging to the suspect, which were seized and examined by the NFI. These results have strengthened the suspicion. Therefore, the charges have now been extended to include the attempted rape.

The investigation into the attempted rape continues. At the next preliminary hearing on February 11, 2026, the status of the three investigations – the murder, the rape, and the attempted rape – will be discussed.

The victim of the attempted rape, the victim of the rape, and the relatives of the murder victim Lisa have been informed about this extension of the charges.
