Existential Security from a Broad Welfare Perspective

The concept of broad welfare can provide entry points for policy if the government wants to ensure existential security in a broad sense, as this report shows. Recently, several policy advisors have called on the government for such a broader interpretation. Financial existential security is important, but not sufficient for a dignified existence. However, ideas about what else is needed vary and are not very concrete.
