The 34-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, October 9, in Etten. There, the police conducted a search in a warehouse, as well as in a warehouse in Gendringen and a chalet in Braamt. Among other things, firearms, firearm parts, and narcotics were seized. These are being further investigated.
The 55-year-old man, whose pre-trial detention was previously suspended under conditions, was arrested on Tuesday, October 14, in Velddriel. The police conducted a search in a house in Den Bosch. Narcotics were seized there.
Eight Arrests in June
The investigation by the police and the Public Prosecution Service in Northern Netherlands focuses on a criminal network, with a large part of the arrested suspects adhering to anti-institutional ideology and possibly having the intent to use violence. In this investigation, eight people were already arrested in June. These individuals were suspected of jointly committing criminal offenses aimed at collecting or intending to use weapons and/or dangerous substances.
