The victim was found seriously injured in her home on Harderwijker Bank in Bunschoten on June 6 and died two days later in the hospital.
When officers arrived at the house on that day, it appeared that part of the house had been ransacked. There was also a broken window at the front of the house. A Large Scale Investigation Team (TGO) was immediately launched and has been investigating since then.
The arrested suspect is detained abroad and will be extradited to the Netherlands at some point. With the arrest of the suspect, the investigation is not over; the Large Scale Investigation Team continues the investigation.

Suspect arrested in investigation of deceased woman from Bunschoten

In the investigation into the death of the 78-year-old woman from Bunschoten, the police arrested a 43-year-old man abroad on Tuesday, October 21. The man is suspected of involvement in the womans death.
