On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, around 3:30 PM, the victim was walking from the Diemerplein shopping center, via the Diemerbrug, past the swimming pool towards his home in Diemen Zuid. Near the school on Ouderkerkerlaan, two boys were hanging around. What exactly happened afterward is unclear and the victim does not remember. His next memory is people helping him and feeling severe pain. Later it was found that he had suffered, among other things, a concussion.
Severe assault
The investigation is ongoing. Based on the information currently available, the team assumes that the two boys hanging around suddenly severely assaulted the victim. They kicked him in the head while he was on the ground.
