Officers found many people on the street, including several young children. It was reported that a dark-colored car had driven away from the location where the shots were suspected to have been fired. Officers began an investigation and found evidence indicating that shots had indeed been fired. A crime scene was established between Pootlaan and Van Effenlaan. Forensic Investigation team members are examining the secured evidence.
Useful information from the investigation
From the police investigation that followed, useful information emerged. Based on that information, further investigation was conducted, and on Thursday morning, around 05:00, a 30-year-old man from Roosendaal was arrested in a house on Thorbeckestraat in Oudenbosch. The arrest was made by the Special Intervention Service, which was called in for the arrest of this firearms-dangerous suspect. A search was subsequently conducted at the residence where the suspect was arrested. Several drug-related items were found and seized by the police. The suspects car was also confiscated.
A woman was present in the house on Thorbeckestraat in Oudenbosch. She was also arrested by the police.
Both suspects will be interrogated on Thursday. The investigation is not yet complete. It is (still) unknown if anyone was injured. Further arrests are not ruled out.
