In addition to the criminal investigation led by the Public Prosecution Service, a disciplinary investigation has also been initiated by the polices Safety, Integrity, and Complaints department.

The officer has since been sent home. Upon completion of the investigation, the public prosecutor will decide on the cases resolution. The officer had already been suspended earlier in the investigation and has since had no access to police buildings and systems.
