On Monday afternoon, October 6, 2025, emergency services were dispatched around 2:30 PM to Park Vrouwenhof. There they found an unconscious man who later died in the hospital. His injuries showed he had been severely assaulted. The detectives launched an investigation. Witnesses report that shortly before, he may have had an argument with a group of people at that spot in the park. A fight then broke out. The victim fell to the ground and did not get up.
