On Friday morning, the police noticed that copper theft was possibly being committed on Kleinloolaan in Driebergen. Officers saw a car and a van parked, and five men were busy committing copper theft. A large roll of copper was already in the van. The suspects drove away quickly, and an officer had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit and was slightly injured in the process.
Ultimately, the five suspects, all Romanians, were arrested, and a police helicopter was also deployed. The suspects are detained for questioning.
