On Monday, November 17 around 3:40 AM, two officers were patrolling with their service vehicle on Bilderdijkstraat when they saw a person walking. Their intuition told them something was wrong, which proved true. The man ran away upon seeing the police, suddenly pulled out a long firearm, and aimed it at the officers. He also chambered a round. The officers barely escaped this very threatening situation by reversing their vehicle and fleeing. The impact on the officers was significant. Shortly after, they returned with multiple officers to the location where they were threatened but did not find the suspect.

Suspect description:
- Male
- Dark complexion
- Approximately 185 centimeters tall
- Dressed entirely in black
- Wearing a black balaclava

One day later, on Tuesday, November 18 around 2:30 AM, a hospitality venue on the same Bilderdijkstraat was shot at. When officers arrived, the suspect had fled and shell casings were found. The window of the building showed multiple impacts, possibly from an automatic firearm.

The detectives and Forensic Investigation have launched an inquiry into both cases.
