The body of Sherwin Peterhof was found on Friday, August 15, in a cornfield just across the border near the Belgian town of Meer. Three days earlier, a friend had reported him missing. The investigation revealed that the victim had been at a residence on Bijlmerplein in Amsterdam shortly before his death. It is suspected that a crime took place in this residence. Five people have been arrested in the investigation so far. They include a 40-year-old woman from Amsterdam, a 31-year-old man from Rotterdam, a 43-year-old man without a fixed residence, and two 40-year-old men from Rotterdam.

Reward for golden tip
The police are searching for two more individuals suspected of involvement in Sherwin Peterhofs death. Because the investigation team strongly suspects the suspects fled to Suriname after Sherwins death, the Public Prosecution Service has decided to release the names and photos of these persons. They are 57-year-old Denise Soekra from Paramaribo and 42-year-old Claimond Maes from Rotterdam. The chief public prosecutor of the Amsterdam district office has offered 7,500 euros for the tip leading to the arrest of suspect Soekra and another 7,500 euros for the tip leading to the arrest of suspect Maes.
