The body of the then-missing Wendell was found on Tuesday, July 29 by the German police. This led to intensive cooperation between the Dutch and German sides of the border, resulting in a suspect being arrested in Germany the following day. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the victims death continued unabated.

One of the conclusions of the investigation is that the mans death may be linked to a home burglary that took place earlier in Germany. It is strongly considered that a conflict over the loot from this burglary played an important role in the death of the 46-year-old victim. More information about this and other new investigative developments will be shared on Tuesday in Opsporing Verzocht. Relatives of Wendell will also speak. Not only will information be shared, viewers will also be asked questions that could potentially advance the investigation. So tune in next Tuesday at 8:25 PM on NPO2.
