At around 01:30 AM, the resident was awakened by a lot of noise on the ground floor of his house. When he went to take a look, he found that there were two burglars in his house. A struggle ensued, and the victim was sprayed in the face with a flammable liquid by one of the two men. The two burglars then ran away. They have not been apprehended.

A witness, who had also been awakened by the noise, immediately called the police. Officers arrived on the scene and initiated an investigation. They seized items that were presumably left behind by the burglars. A report was taken from the resident, and the witness also provided a statement. It is not known whether the burglars took anything.

Various investigations conducted
To gain entry to the house, the burglars presumably broke a window. The ground floor of the house was searched by the perpetrators, and items were destroyed. Forensic Investigation staff conducted a trace investigation, and officers from the neighborhood team conducted a neighborhood inquiry. They asked if residents had any more information or camera footage that could help the police solve this burglary.
