Officers checked a car around 9:30 PM on Hudsonweg that was driven by the young man from Bergen op Zoom. They conducted a check on the technical condition of the vehicle. The police found a box containing various types of drugs. It was hidden under one of the seats in the car.
The driver was arrested and taken to a police cell complex. He is still being held for questioning.
Drivers license, drugs, and money seized
A saliva test was conducted on him to check if he might have been driving under the influence. The indicative test showed that he was under the influence of MDMA. The man did not wish to cooperate with a blood test. His drivers license has been confiscated.
The seized drugs were tested by an officer. It turned out to be cocaine and 2-MMC. A small amount of cannabis was also found in the car. The suspect had several hundred euros in cash with him, which was also seized. The car belonged to a rental company. The company has been informed of the cars location, and it will be picked up at the police station.
