The individuals were convicted of various offenses, such as violations of the Opium Act and Weapons and Ammunition Act, property crimes, sexual offenses, traffic violations, violence, and forgery. Initially, these convicted persons could not be located. The EVA Team was therefore tasked with tracking them down and arresting them.
Arrests in 2025
In the past year, the EVA team of the The Hague Unit made 153 arrests. The most common offenses were property crimes, violence, and violations of the Opium Act. The police also deployed immediate response 25 times. For other cases, the EVA team received 67 warrants to enter homes. In total, these arrests accounted for 289.75 years of prison sentences and 432,181.42 euros in fines.
