The police have started an additional investigation on the bank of the Maas at Groeneweg in Venlo. This is the location where Stefan Schmid, who was killed, was found on September 3rd.
It is not yet known how long the investigation at the Maasoever will last.
In the investigation, the police arrested an 18-year-old man from Venlo last Thursday. He is suspected of being involved in the death of Stefan Schmid. The investigation continues unabated, and the detective team is working to get a complete picture of what exactly happened that fateful night and what the involvement of this suspect is.
The suspect will be presented today.
