The police immediately launched an investigation, part of which involved showing the footage of the two in the regional investigation program Bureau Rijnmond. The girls recognized themselves and reported to the police. They are 13 and 17 years old and come from Rotterdam. They have both been arrested.

Girls Arrested for Violence in Metro

A 63-year-old woman and an elderly man confronted two girls about their language on January 30 while they were sitting in the metro coming from Kralingse Zoom. The insults flew around them. The girls did not appreciate this and gave the man and woman a good beating. The woman sustained significant bruises to her arm and wrist.
