Cyclist (40) Dies After Collision on Mendeldreef

In a collision between a car and a racing bicycle on Sunday afternoon, April 13, a 40-year-old man from Lisse lost his life on Mendeldreef. Despite the assistance from bystanders and emergency responders, the cyclist unfortunately later died in a hospital. The police are conducting an extensive investigation into the circumstances and are looking for witnesses.

Around 11:30 AM, emergency services received a report of a collision between a car and a racing bicycle. On Mendeldreef near number 25, officers found the victim, the bicycle, and the car. The victim was transported to the hospital where he unfortunately later died.
