The police arrested two individuals on Tuesday, March 18, around 00:30, on suspicion of possibly preparing an explosion in The Hague. Officers spotted a suspicious car and pulled it over. One suspect was arrested in the car. Shortly after, another person was arrested in the vicinity. They are a 21-year-old man from Amsterdam and a minor boy. During the arrests, the suspects resisted and made a brief attempt to flee.
Explosive
One of the suspects reportedly had a package with him. After investigation by the Explosives Team Leader (TEV) and the Explosives Disposal Service (EOD), it turned out to be an explosive. This explosive was later detonated, and the car was seized. Both suspects are currently under full restrictions.

The police are investigating the incident and the possible preparation of an explosion. They are also looking into a possible connection with previous explosions at the Wingerd in The Hague.
