At around 16:00, a head-on collision occurred between two vehicles on the Western Ring Road. The 29-year-old female driver from Maastricht lost her life. The driver of the other vehicle was able to receive the necessary medical care on site. The passenger of the latter vehicle was transported to the hospital by ambulance. 

How this collision occurred is still under investigation. The Western Ring Road is closed for forensic investigation. Additionally, witnesses are being interviewed. This will provide a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding the collision.
