Arrest in Investigation into Shooting Incident in Haarlem

The district investigation team Kennemerland has arrested an 18-year-old man in the investigation into a shooting incident on Sunday, April 27, 2025, on Jansstraat in Haarlem. He is suspected of involvement in the shooting incident and is currently in custody.
Police officers were present on the night of April 27 at Riviervischmarkt. Around 00:10, they heard multiple gunshots and then saw a group of about fifteen boys running away through Jansstraat via Begijnstraat. One person from this group indicated that he had been shot at. He was found to have minor injuries. After a search, no suspects were found.
