On Thursday evening, July 17, around 11:30 PM, a man was sitting on a bench on Langestraat near Varkensmarkt when he came under fire around 11:30 PM. A man pulled out an object resembling a firearm and fired multiple times at the victim. Fortunately, the victim was not hit. The police started the investigation and spoke to several witnesses.
On Wednesday, July 30, a suspect was arrested; a 23-year-old man from Utrecht. The man is in custody for questioning and will be presented on Friday.
