Shortly after 9:30 PM, both vehicles were driving one behind the other on the A16 towards Dordrecht. In the rear car, a 49-year-old man was driving with his wife and two children in the car. Suddenly, they saw that he lost consciousness and fell forward. As a result, the man also pressed the accelerator and collided with the car in front of him. Both cars skidded and crashed into the guardrail. The driver (64) of the front car was slightly injured. He was examined on site by ambulance personnel. The driver of the rear car was admitted to the hospital due to his medical condition. During the investigation by emergency services, the A16 was completely closed for a short time.
