During this control, 92 vehicles were thoroughly checked, and all drivers underwent an alcohol and drug test. Various violations were observed, resulting in 31 fines being issued for example:

  • Driving without a license
  • Driving with worn tires
  • Overloading of vehicles
  • Vehicles that are too high or too wide
  • Falling or leaking cargo
  • Technical defects in trucks and trailers

In addition to addressing traffic violations, the control was also intended to gather information about undermining crime.

What is undermining crime?
Undermining crime is criminal activity that weakens society from within. This often occurs through criminal networks that mingle with legitimate businesses. Think of things like drug trafficking, money laundering, or other forms of organized crime. This crime has negative consequences for safety, the economy, and trust in society. Various government agencies work together to combat this form of crime in ports and other areas.
