On Wednesday evening, there was a gathering at the church on Voorstraat, and a (counter) demonstration had been announced in connection with the gathering. The police were present that evening, including the Mobile Unit, to ensure that both the demonstration and the gathering proceeded smoothly.
At the beginning of the evening, several dozen (counter) demonstrators were present in the vicinity of the church on Voorstraat. On the boulevard, there were also several dozen (counter) demonstrators wearing face-covering clothing. The police dispersed the group of demonstrators on the boulevard.
Another group of about 300 individuals disturbed public order, throwing stones and beer bottles at demonstrators and the police. The police arrested two individuals for insult and public violence. One person was injured in the face.
