On the night of Sunday, August 31 to Monday, September 1, around half past two, the police received a report of a fight at Van Swindenstraat in Schiedam. Upon arrival, it became clear that a victim had been stabbed. He was taken to the hospital with injuries. Officers immediately arrested five suspects: a 30-year-old man from Schiedam, a 32-year-old man from Schiedam, a 36-year-old man from Schiedam, a 61-year-old man from Schiedam, and a 45-year-old man from Poland. The victim, a 39-year-old man from Poland, was also arrested.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident. This includes forensic investigations, reviewing CCTV footage, and conducting neighborhood inquiries.
