In the course of the afternoon, the police chased a black Toyota Aygo due to dangerous driving behavior. The driver fled from the police and went off the road. The vehicle crashed, trapping the occupants. The driver was pulled from the vehicle by police officers, and the passenger had to be freed by the fire department.
Drugs and weapon
During the chase, one occupant threw a bag out of the vehicle. This was later found by the police and contained hard drugs. The passenger also had a firearm on him. The driver was under the influence of hard drugs and was only allowed to drive under supervision due to his age. A driving ban was imposed on him.
Both occupants, two 17-year-old boys from Vlissingen and Oost-Souburg, were arrested. The passenger was taken to the hospital for medical check-up after the arrest. Later that day, the police searched the homes and/or bedrooms of the suspects.
