Driver Takes Off
While bystanders call 112, the driver climbs out of the car and runs away. An alert bystander cycles after him and sees that the man is hiding on a property.
Police and Ambulance on the Way
Since this is an accident and the driver may be injured, the police and an ambulance are on their way. The difference in this report is that the driver must first be found.
The bystander cycling after the man points out the location where he is hiding. The police can quickly apprehend the driver as a result. He is a 26-year-old man from Breda. He is taken to the police station.
The police suspect that the man is under the influence. An investigation is being conducted. Officers also find drugs and money with the driver. These items and his phone are seized.
