At around 8:30 AM, emergency services were alerted to a collision between a cyclist and a motorist on the Burgermeester Stramanweg. The front of the car collided with the left side of the bicycle. The cyclist was injured and transported to a hospital. He later died from his injuries a day later. The driver of the car, a 36-year-old Amsterdam resident, was released after questioning but remains a suspect.
