On Tuesday, an elderly couple became victims of a robbery on Betouwstraat in Tegelen. The couple was robbed of valuable belongings. A day later, the so-called gold huggers struck again, this time in Swalmen, where an elderly man in his wheelchair was robbed.

After an attempted robbery on Donderberg in Roermond, the police tracked down the three suspects. Following a brief chase, the police managed to apprehend the trio just across the border, in Germany.

Since the three arrested individuals are known to the German police, the investigation will initially be continued by our German colleagues. Afterwards, an investigation will take place regarding the robberies that occurred on Dutch territory.
