A report was received at Meld Misdaad Anoniem that fireworks were stored in the house. On November 9, officers went to the house and found more than 700 pieces of fireworks, including heavy fireworks. The fireworks were taken by a specialized company and destroyed. The owner will be asked to report to the police for questioning soon.
Dangerous situations
Storing fireworks in a house creates unsafe situations for the residents and the neighborhood. There is a risk that the fireworks could explode, causing damage and even injuries. Possessing or storing (illegal) fireworks is therefore punishable and can lead to a criminal record upon conviction. The police and municipalities jointly take action against fireworks.
