The police received a report around 21:30 of a conflict near Vrydemalaan in Groningen, during which a stabbing occurred. A 27-year-old man from Hoogezand was injured and has been taken to the hospital for treatment.

The police immediately arrested a 50-year-old man from Groningen on suspicion of involvement. He is in custody and will be interrogated. The police have started an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Witnesses have been spoken to at the scene.
