In recent months, tip jars have been stolen from several institutions/businesses in Oldenzaal and Denekamp. Multiple entrepreneurs filed reports. The total amount taken is not entirely known, but it is suspected to be possibly over 1000 euros.

The police conducted an investigation and during this investigation, they came across a suspect. Since the suspects residence was unknown, he was flagged. It involved a 54-year-old man without a known residence. On Thursday morning, August 21, the police found the man at a house on Gronausestraat. The police arrested him in the act on suspicion of the thefts.
