The report of the stabbing incident was received by the police around 7:45 PM. Officers arrived at the scene and immediately after the incident arrested a 45-year-old man, also from Middelburg, as a suspect. He was taken to a police detention center for questioning.
The victim was treated on site by ambulance personnel and filed a report. The police are investigating to clarify the circumstances of the stabbing incident further.
