Arson - Apeldoornselaan and Meppelrade - The Hague
On Wednesday evening, November 5, around 9:30 PM, someone set bulky waste on fire on Apeldoornselaan. The waste was placed against a house. The fire broke a window of the house, and due to smoke development, several people had to leave their homes. One person inhaled too much smoke and was taken to the hospital. In the Team West broadcast, we show images of the suspect in hopes someone recognizes him. The suspect is a man on a womens bicycle. We also draw attention to a similar incident that occurred on the night of April 28 to 29 on Meppelrade. Here too, waste was set on fire by a man on a bicycle.
Assault - Slachthuisplein - The Hague
On Sunday evening, August 10, around 11:35 PM, two men were harassed out of the blue by a group of youths at Slachthuisplein. Items were thrown at the men, and they were insulted, but it did not stop there. When one of the victims confronted the group, he was struck to the ground by one person and then punched in the face while lying on the ground by a second suspect. The victims partner was also attacked, and both victims were injured. Two suspects have since been arrested; Team West shows footage of the other two suspects.
