Helmond has experienced a series of violent incidents in recent weeks, including a shooting, an attack on a house, and multiple explosions near homes. The police, municipality, and Public Prosecution Service (OM) take these incidents very seriously and maintain close contact. Several detectives are involved in the ongoing investigation.

The incidents occurred in recent weeks in the Leonardus neighborhood and nearby districts in Helmond. They are being investigated separately, while considering possible connections between them. Multiple scenarios are being examined. On Thursday, October 9, a 19-year-old suspect from Helmond was arrested and is in custody. Since incidents continued after October 9, the police and Public Prosecution Service (OM) consider that multiple individuals may be responsible.
