At 15:23, three boys entered the hardware store. The boys stood for a while looking at the tools section while simultaneously opening boxes of angle grinders. The security guard saw the boys putting 2 angle grinders under their clothing. When the boys walked past the checkout without paying, the security guard, along with his colleagues, apprehended the suspects. They resisted arrest, using violence and spitting at the store staff.

Meanwhile, the security guard called 112 to report the incident, and the police quickly arrived on the scene. Because the three boys were behaving aggressively, the police warned that they would use the stun gun if the suspects did not cooperate.

The boys complied, and the police took the arrested suspects over from the security personnel. This involves a 17-year-old boy from Oosterhout and a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old boy from Breda. The police subsequently filed a report. Witnesses have been interviewed, and the surveillance footage has been secured. The suspects are currently still in custody, and the police are conducting further investigations.
