Chief of Police Janny Knol: This is good news for many police officers and other emergency responders who are targeted by violence with fireworks every New Years Eve. We realize that the introduction of a ban also requires us to take an extra step in terms of enforcement. It will also help us throughout the year in tackling heavy explosives, the severe consequences of which we see almost daily.
