At around 1:25 PM, we received a report of a car being vandalized on Laan van Vollenhove in Zeist. The reporter chased after the suspect, but unfortunately could not catch him. The reporter was able to provide us with a clear description and mentioned that the suspect had a bloodied hand.

Burgernet Action
Around 1:45 PM, a Burgernet action was initiated from the control room in Hilversum with the description of the suspect. About half an hour later, the first report came in via Burgernet: someone matching the description was seen walking towards De Bilt. Shortly after, another report came in with more information. After a search by colleagues, the suspect was apprehended around 2:40 PM in De Bilt.

The suspect was found lying on a bench in Van Boetzelaerpark, with a bloodied hand. The suspect is a 38-year-old man from Bilthoven.
