Indeed, around half past four in the afternoon, someone came by. This man gave the number that the woman had heard earlier on the phone, and the victim let him in.

While the man was inside the home, he managed to take jewelry and money. When the womans son and grandson arrived at the door, they got involved in a struggle with the officer, who naturally wanted to leave the house as quickly as possible. He ran off quickly, closely followed by the son, grandson, and neighbors who were also ready to intervene as soon as they realized what had happened.

Ultimately, the man was found in a schoolyard on Biezenstraat in Oisterwijk. He had climbed over a pointed fence and sustained some cuts on his hands. The man, a 21-year-old from Schiedam, was handed over to the police. The real officers took the suspect with them and delivered him to a police detention center. He is still in custody. The man still had the money and jewelry with him, which have been seized by the police. The suspect will be further questioned by detectives on Thursday.
