Around midnight, colleagues were approached on the street by the four victims. They indicated that they had been harassed on Lange Brugstraat by another group. One of the boys started hitting, and eventually, the rest of the group also joined in the fight.

After contacting colleagues, several of the possible suspects were quickly traced via the cameras. Two of them, a 16- and a 17-year-old boy, were located on Karnemelkstraat, and a third 17-year-old came walking up later. They were all three arrested there. A fourth 17-year-old boy ran away to Nieuwstraat but was later arrested as well. A 17-year-old suspect was also arrested in Ginnekenstraat.

They are in custody for further investigation and questioning.
