Cocaine Labs Raided in Amsterdam and Liège, 24 Suspects Arrested

On Friday, November 7, the National Detection and Intervention Unit discovered an active cocaine lab in a residence in Amsterdam during an ongoing investigation. Eight people were arrested and eleven searches were conducted at various locations in The Hague, Amsterdam, Alkmaar, and Velsen-Noord. Among those arrested were six individuals with Colombian nationality, one Dominican, and one Dutch. Nearly 40 kg of cocaine, several cutting agents, over 1,000 liters of chemicals, and other equipment necessary for cocaine processing were seized. The police do not rule out further actions.

The operation on November 7 is part of an investigation by the National Detection and Intervention Unit, initiated following information from abroad. Based on this information, the Federal Judicial Police in Belgium discovered and dismantled a large cocaine lab near Liège in July of this year. Sixteen people were arrested in Belgium, and 100 kilos of cocaine, firearms, and a hand grenade were seized. The investigation into the criminal group in the Netherlands then continued.

During this investigation, the National Detection and Intervention Unit worked closely with the Federal Judicial Police of Antwerp and the UDYCO division of the Spanish Policia Nacional.
