The police started an investigation after signals and (anonymous) reports were received by both the police and the municipality of Leeuwarden that drugs were being sold from a hospitality establishment on the Weaze in Leeuwarden.
Soft and hard drugs found, two arrests made
During the investigation, it was repeatedly established that drugs were being dealt in the premises. It was then decided to conduct a raid on the hospitality venue. This was carried out by the police and the Intervention Team Undermining Municipality of Leeuwarden.
During the search, both soft and hard drugs were found. These goods were seized for further investigation. Two persons were arrested for possession of narcotics. They are a 62-year-old man and a 21-year-old man from Leeuwarden.
The municipalitys intervention team also inspected the premises. Previously identified issues that violated licensing conditions were found. Based on the joint findings, the premises were immediately closed by order of the mayor.
