They are suspected of involvement in a violent robbery that took place on Tuesday, December 16 around 2:30 AM.

Severe assault
Multiple suspects entered the house through the back during the night. The resident was severely assaulted in the bedroom. An unknown amount of money was stolen. The suspects likely fled via the back of the house. The victim was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

The investigation team tracked down the two suspects arrested today after receiving tips and information through the local news page Wat is Loos.

Previous arrests
Two arrests had already been made earlier. On December 17, a 52-year-old suspect from Maastricht was arrested. Two days later, an 18-year-old man from Nieuwegein was taken into custody. These two suspects are under full restrictions, meaning they may only contact their lawyer. They were brought before the council chamber, which decided they will remain in custody for 30 days.

The investigation into the violent home robbery continues unabated.
